Intro to Stand-up Paddle boarding

The Naramata shoreline is perfect for teaching beginner SUP lessons. The village provides two protected bays to ensure there’s always calm water in at least one of them. Our beginner boards are very stable, regardless of your size, making them ideally suited for Okanagan Lake. This 90-minute session includes equipment familiarization, dry land, water safety, fundamental paddling techniques, and all equipment – board, paddle, leash, PFD, and whistle. Wetsuits and neoprene tops are available to rent on a first-come basis if weather is cooler. See our events page for spring specials in May & June. Pick a date and sign up!

Advanced Flat Water SUP Skills Clinic

2 hr session, $75 per person

The advanced SUP clinic will prepare you for paddling longer distances and provides the theory for and skills for wind and waves. Includes pivot turns, wave surfing, foot positions, edging and bracing. The primary focus will be on proper paddling techniques and body mechanics. However, paddling further from shore requires some pre-trip planning and safety considerations that will be covered in detail. Now you can do a serene paddle along Okanagan Lake’s shoreline, a crossing to Summerland or even a down-winder to Penticton. See our event calendar for spring clinics.
