So you bought an inflatable paddleboard and it wasn’t quite what you thought it would be. Chances are you bought an overpriced air mattress slash floatie, that is now not holding air and will most likely end up at the landfill. We humans are throwing so much into our garbage and it needs to stop.
You hear so many people saying my board was only $400, I got such a good deal! That means $400 paid for your bag, pump, paddle, leash and what does that leave for your actual board??
PLEASE STOP BUYING CRAP!
Yes you got a 1 year warranty and they replaced your board and threw your old one in the dump. Last year, almost every day we had a call or someone came into the shop to see if we could repair their seams in their I-SUP. It was the same the year before, with the last two heat dome summers inferior made i-sup’s were exploding left and right. So this is just our shop think about how many stores, shops, internet world has sold these sketchy inflatable paddleboards.
Over the last few years we have narrowed down our brands we represent to only the best paddleboard companies. These are companies that sell sports equipment, good sports equipment. Companies like SIC Maui, BadFish and Red Paddle Co.
Red Paddle Co. has a 5 year warranty, well very rarely a customer will have an issue at all. I can count on one hand in 10 yrs how many customers had some warranty issues. The wholesale company for Red in North America is amazing and has taken care of each situation with incredible service.
The Big Box Store C@$tco and Amazon has had so many returns in the least two years it is so sad to see all this plastic in the landfills. Just because they have a 1 yr or 2 yr warranty doesn’t mean it is a better board!
I know not everyone can afford purchases for better quality. Please just think about it and don’t just push that buy button so fast. Look for better quality that will last longer. There is also so much more to it than just the construction. I can go on and on and explain about the construction and what to look for but there is nothing better than talking to a human, a person that can narrow down what you are looking for and ask you about what you don’t know you need!
